Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm with Vitamin E and Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm with Kokum Butter
Burt’s Bees Ultra Conditioning and Honey Lip Balms
I received these from the exchange gift at Team Aguhon’s Christmas dinner. They came in boxes that can be hung to a Christmas tree. Such a cute idea to instead of placing them under. I already started to use the Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm and it works nice under lipsticks. Lipsticks go smooth and even over it and prevents lip dryness especially from lipsticks that do dry then out.
Normally, I stick to one palette for a month then move on to another by next because I have so many! I meant to use only the Laura Mercier Holiday 2013 Palette for this month, but I can’t keep myself from also using In theBalm of Your Hand.
When I saw the palette online, I knew I had to have it because it has Mary-Lou Manizer, Bahama Mama, and an Instain blush. Oh my goodness, I so badly wanted it! I made sure I had the dough before I checked Beauty Bar though, so I can quickly purchase it in case they have it. Of course it was a happy ending for moi. 😀
Before I go on my review, just an fyi that the lip colors aren’t included in this review.
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Medium Beige
I mentioned many, many times that my T-zone gets super oily and that the oiliness has gotten worse lately. It might be the weather, change of diet since I’m incorporating healthier choices, or skin care products though I use the same. As much as I liked the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation, at some point, it started to just settle on my face and I would unknowingly get some on my fingers. I found out when I left a streak of foundation on a work document. I can’t even touch my face out of fear that I might transfer on other important stuff. Good thing I almost emptied the bottle, so I had a valid excuse to buy. I searched for foundations recommended for oily skin and saw CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in an online list of ‘best foundations for oily skin.’
I got really curious about theBalm because of the adorable pinup-ish designs and the witty names of their products. That Meet Matt(e) Nude® is just hilarious! XD With the good reviews I’ve read of theBalm, especially of their affordable blushes, I thought of trying them out. I was very much out of powder after a long time, so I decided on getting their one and only translucent powder. After initial canvass of choices from my usual brands, this came on top of my list.
In spite the exhaustion from yesterday morning’s inspection all over Makati, I still pushed through farming and tanking with other *insert game here* players. I can’t disclose yet what game it is until I blog about it. 😀 Anyway, I wanted to personally meet the mucho friendly people who welcomed me to their group.
I did a dark eye makeup since I would be meeting them late night plus I feel like doing dark eye makeup more often (or as long as I’m not going to the office).
Here’s another (easy) office/work make-up look. For this, I use mostly those from the Laura Mercier Luxe Colour Wardrobe Dual Decker Colour for Eyes & Cheeks which I have been happily using ever since I purchased it. Total Laura Mercier convert now that I already have a couple in mind for my next purchase from them. 😀
I already splurged a lot from last Christmas and early this year when I was in the US (because: Sephora). Since then, I always reminded myself I will not buy any cosmetics until this year ends, but there were a few that I needed. About two weeks ago, I purchased this pressed powder from theBalm because my Clinique powder was running out.
A purchase I don’t regret. And yesterday I bought this Burt’s Bees Tips and Toes Kit:
