I haven’t done FOTNs in a long time! Is it still called that?
I got too occupied with the elections, that’s why I only had one post in the last few days. There has been so much anger and frustration besides the lot of cussing during this election. People have forgotten the Golden Rule. 🙁 Anyway, I hate to bring down the mood here too.
Recently, I bought the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil. I read a positive review on it from another beauty blog–forgot whose as usual–so I bought it when I saw it at SM Makati. The persuasion is stronger when you see only three bottles left. LOL!
Good morning, ladies! It’s hump day. I’m excited for the
paydayweekend in a couple of days and to watch Captain America: Civil War tonight. 😀 I’m also excited to show you my beauty buys. Hihi~
The past few weeks I did some beauty and skin care shopping, which isn’t impulse really because most of them I do need — I need more makeup to review for Glam Love. (LOLOL! Justify pa!)
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Medium Beige
I mentioned many, many times that my T-zone gets super oily and that the oiliness has gotten worse lately. It might be the weather, change of diet since I’m incorporating healthier choices, or skin care products though I use the same. As much as I liked the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation, at some point, it started to just settle on my face and I would unknowingly get some on my fingers. I found out when I left a streak of foundation on a work document. I can’t even touch my face out of fear that I might transfer on other important stuff. Good thing I almost emptied the bottle, so I had a valid excuse to buy. I searched for foundations recommended for oily skin and saw CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in an online list of ‘best foundations for oily skin.’
My previous mascara was Maybelline’s The Hyper Curl Mascara. Regardless of sweat and my oily face, it stays put without smudging or flaking. It did get flaky eventually, but might be because it has gotten dry and needs to be replaced. I would get another of it because we all know how it’s so easy on the wallet, right? But I want another option (and probably better) that can resist this summer heat.
I ended up at the L’Oreal stall at SM Makati’s (HUGE) beauty section as I searched for a mascara. L’Oreal had items discounted at 20%, but the mascara I found and then bought was 50% off. 🙂 It’s the False Lash Butterfly Waterproof Mascara.
Earlier this month, L’Oreal Philippines decided to highlight their powder lipsticks on Facebook. So while this product has been around since November last year (or even earlier), and I got one after my birthday, only get to review this now because I forgot about that purchase, and only remembered it when I saw the promos.
So here we go.
Welcome to the first Thursday of 2016! Happy new year everyone! Did you get all glam and fabulous when the ball dropped? Me? I was asleep before 12midnight. Does that mean I get to sleep a lot more this year? I hope so! My eyebags are a disaster lately. We’ll get back to that later.
As I said, it’s a Thursday. You know what that means? Throwback! It’s also the start of a new year so I try to tidy things up a bit. Get things BACK to the bare essentials.
If you know me, I’ve been lugging a big pouch of make-up for the past so and so years. Today, however, I’ve managed to reduce my daily make-up/kikay kit to this small black fishnet bag.
I wanted to do nothing (like laze around at home) during the long holiday thanks to Bonifacio Day, but I had to make changes with my personal domain/blog and other sites associated with its hosting. Until now I’m working on it. So, yeah, more delay in my posts here. I hope everyone had a relaxing long weekend though. 🙂
Today’s review will be the L’Oreal Mat Magique All-in-One Matte Transforming Powder — One of my L’Oreal sale buys around summer this year. The shade I have is Vanilla Ivory. I’ve actually hit the pan, but there’s still left enough to last me with everyday use until the end of the month.
I’m back home and in the blog! 😀 Juggling several blogs and the vacation was impossible, so I posted only one entry last month. ^^;;; Anyway, on to the post.
Ever since I bought the L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Sun Beige, I’ve been using it almost daily. I was able to test it through two summers and some rainy days. It never failed on either hot or rainy days. The wear lasts almost eight hours which is great for a work day. But I think the powder that I purchased with it also helps. I barely need to retouch. That’s one thing less from my cosmetic kit. 😉
