Thanks, Joiz, for taking the lead in posting about Hot Young Designer’s (HYD) Second Collection for Fashion Face Off 2011. To recap, the HYD designers launched their first collection last October 2011. Then last January 25, 2012, they released their second collection that caters to young professionals; who value work-life balance and have ensembles that can be worn from day to night.
Joiz has shown you Klart, Bailey, and Renan’s collection. I’m going to share with you now the collections of Marc and Jackie.
It’s been a while since we last talked about the HYD designers. Already, they have launched 2 collections–the first was last October 2011, and here’s a glimpse of what the 5 designers have created:
Last January 25, the designers have again showcased another round of ready-to-wear designs. This quarter’s collection caters to young professionals, who value work life balance. The desire is to have an ensembles that an individual can wear from day to night.
Klart Lim’s clothing is inspired by Gaudi’s architecture, Rio de Jainero, and New York City. She believes that fabric is important especially for women’s clothing and that clothes define a person’s individuality.
Hot Young Designers started releasing introduction videos of the each of the five designers. Let me show first Renan Pacson‘s. He gives a brief background on when and how he started with fashion design. He also stated of his RTW for Hot Young Designers will be opulent and decadent, but will still give you that just-in-a-tee-and-jeans feel.
The Hot Young Designers Marketing Company (HYD) has announced the designers who made the cut for Fashion Face Off 2011.
All aspiring designers had to undergo a screening interview, where they had to show their past works and had to come up with RTW designs that would impress the panel of judges. The screening was done last July 1st at Le Bistro Vert, one of the Major Sponsors of this year’s FFO.
Hot Young Designers (HYD) is looking for the next big name in the fashion design industry. HYD intends to search for talented individuals and make their dreams come true. Five (5) of these individuals will be chosen to compete for 9 months by showing off their skills as a designer of ready-to-wear clothing (RTW).
