My office had its annual outing a couple of weekends ago. I was in charge of our itinerary, so I planned visits to an underground cemetery, spring water falls, a man-made lake, and an organic farm. Details of the outing will be in my blog. Instead, let me show you the makeup I brought.
It all started with the The Body Shop’s Dusty Rose Lip and Cheek Stain. There’s nothing like having natural-looking pink flushed cheeks to brighten my face and make me look more awake (especially during long hours at work!). Then when I was persuaded to stay for a night in Shangri-La Fort because it was already late when I got done with gym, I only had my mascara, powder, concealer, and Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain Honey to use. My face looked flat and pale, but the Balm Stain really gave my face the ‘life’ it needed. My liking for pinks have rekindled. 🙂
my birth monththis month started, I switched up my makeup with more pinks–Mostly lippies that are great for either day or evening looks. I haven’t thoroughly checked my collection, but these are my picks so far:
Hm, this might not be obvious based on my previous reviews & recos, but I do like pink blushes. 🙂 One blush I didn’t expect to like and even recommend is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush in Pink Kiss. But mine’s in the Dramatic Pastels Deluxe Eye and Cheek Palette, which was released years ago. 😛 I don’t use the blush anymore though because I’ve already hit pan.
After about a month of wait, my drugstore beauty buys arrived! Well, about a week ago. XD;
1. Wet n’ Wild Ticket to Brazil
2. Wet n’ Wild Bikini Contest
3. CoverGirl trunaked goldens
4. CoverGirl truenaked nudes
5. Maybelline FitMe! Matte Poreless Foundation
The following are pasalubong:
6. & 7. Estee Lauder Pure Color lipsticks
8. Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara (I like the name. 😉 )
I would have gotten those in my wish list, but the drugstore brands were on promo. :3 I’m excited to try them all, which also means more makeup to review. ^^;;; Idk where to start though, so please let me know (in the comment below) which of the products above you would like to hear about first. 🙂
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Medium Beige
I mentioned many, many times that my T-zone gets super oily and that the oiliness has gotten worse lately. It might be the weather, change of diet since I’m incorporating healthier choices, or skin care products though I use the same. As much as I liked the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation, at some point, it started to just settle on my face and I would unknowingly get some on my fingers. I found out when I left a streak of foundation on a work document. I can’t even touch my face out of fear that I might transfer on other important stuff. Good thing I almost emptied the bottle, so I had a valid excuse to buy. I searched for foundations recommended for oily skin and saw CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in an online list of ‘best foundations for oily skin.’
Late New Year’s greetings to you lovelies! 😀 Bringing you my first ‘Best of Beauty’ in 2015. I thought hard enough of what products I really liked last year. There’s hair and skin care faves besides makeup, surprisingly. I also found great beauty discoveries last year.
This could be the first time I’m blogging of my skin care routine. There are some high-priced and affordable products listed below.
Morning skin care routine
I’ve only used two liquid foundations ever. Instead of separate posts, I’ll just make one long one.
Estee Lauder Smoothing Creme Concealer in Medium 03
This is my first liquid concealer (but not exactly that in the picture) and it was a gift from either my Mom or Grandma’s sister. I forgot from whom. Anyway, the first time I used it, I was an instant convert to liquid concealer. Coverage is great for the dark area and fine lines under my eyes. Longevity is 8 hours and more if the day is good. 😛 Its consistency is thick and it settles quite fast, so I need to apply quickly. Estée Lauder, as we all know, is a high-end and costly brand. I finish this concealer to the last drop. But for its worth, this tube can last for months on.
I did not buy any beauty products in Switzerland because everything there is beyond my budget. But I received from my Aunt these Jasmine by OPI nail polishes and Estee Lauder eyeshadow palettee.
I was able to save money from not shopping until my Changi Singapore Airport layover on my return flight.
