I sort of ‘failed’ my skin care contributions last week. I should have posted daily too, so all I currently use I could have covered than only the newly incorporated to my routine. Anyway, skin care week is over, but I’ll resume to write about the others I use, particularly, the ‘oldies, but still goodies.’ 🙂
The Clinique’s Clinical Clearing Gel is something that I use at night, after I’ve cleansed my face and right before I use a moisturizer, and on occasions (which is often) that I can feel a swell on my face that indicates an upcoming pimple.
Claim to fame: Daily treatment gel provden to give you clearer skin. Fast-drying, oil-free formula goes to work immediately to help clean blemishes, promote healing, prevent breakouts.
Directions: Apply a thin layer to entire face twice a day after cleansing. Or spot-apply if you are using another leave-on blemish treatment.
Taking over for day two of Skin Care week, let me introduce you to my new best friend, the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Bar for Face and Body. Setting aside that the name of the soap is quite a mouthful, you might ask, why a soap bar? Isn’t there a cleansing gel or liquid cleanser that can work on your acne? To be honest, I have tried the cleansing foam, the cleansing gel, the liquid cleanser… I’ve tried them all but it’s just not working well enough for me.
The Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray is the second face mist I have used.
How to use (from Clinique)
Hold 10-12″ from face. Close eyes and spray a light mist.
Use in addition to daily moisturizer, under or over makeup, whenever skin feels thirsty.
Avoid spraying into eyes.
For all skin types.
How I use it:
It’s another month, another year and as usual, here are our favorites. Well, Shabby’s and mine at the least. 😉 Let’s start on Shabby’s list with the…
I wanted to publish this before the Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder, but I remembered I haven’t edited this post. 😆
A subtle pop of dewy color for lips and cheeks. Our nourishing tint with safflower, jojoba and sunflower seed oils feels luscious yet lightweight. Fluid-gel formula slips on with ease thanks to a convenient wand applicator that delivers the perfect amount every time. Shake well before applying.
My lips get very dry and flaky after a few days of regular or liquid lipsticks use, so I would eventually need to use lip balms for a few days. But I dislike how my lips look without color and my tinted lip balms dry it too. So when I discovered the Clinique Pop Oil Lip & Cheek Glow in Black Honey, I became a lip oil convert.
Better late than never. 😆
The holiday season is the busiest time of the year. Not only with the Christmas rush of gift shopping and/or get-togethers, but work deadlines too, which is difficult when you’re already feeling the holidays. I didn’t get to switch beauty and skin care products when December came because I was very busy to bother. Besides, almost everything I used in November I ended up liking so much that I didn’t want to switch yet. Even so, there are only a few that I really loved and would consider favorites. I think the same goes for Joiz. 🙂 I’ll begin with hers.
You read that right–A Clinique and Crayola collaboration! 😀
The brands worked on nine existing Chubby Sticks shades that match with Crayola colors by changing their names to the Crayola equivalent. Their packaging were also changed similar to Crayola’s.
I think I want them all because I loved Crayola. I also remember how I wanted those huge Crayola sets. Looking back, I guess it was right my parents didn’t buy me those because, besides the high price, I doubt I would use all colors like with my eyeshadow palettes. 😆 But all the Clinique and Crayola Chubby Sticks all wearable! I’m sure I would get to use all of them. The question is, would this be available here? 😕
I realized I didn’t say why the lack of updates in this post. Returning to blogging was difficult with the sudden workload after my trip, though I’m slowly getting back to the groove.
Anyway, I have a foundation review, which I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about. I used this before and almost forgot about it.
Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF15 in 66 True Beige
A collective post on my loot from third quarter this year to present. There are some I couldn’t find photos I took of, so I didn’t include them here. I don’t want to retake because I don’t remember when I bought them should I remember which ones they are from my makeup stuff. Anyway, I added my initial impressions per product below.
Benefit Rockitude! – I only wanted the Benetint, but I saw this and thought this was such a good deal. I get to try the High Beam too!
Benefit Porefessional – This great for travel since, for a face powder, it comes with a brush instead of a puff.
