L’Oreal Tint Caresse Powder Lipstick

Earlier this month, L’Oreal Philippines decided to highlight their powder lipsticks on Facebook. So while this product has been around since November last year (or even earlier), and I got one after my birthday, only get to review this now because I forgot about that purchase, and only remembered it when I saw the promos.

So here we go.

The Tint Caresse line of L’Oreal is one of its kind. It’s the first ever powder lipstick that promises to be non-sticky, non-drying, long-lasting and lightweight, while giving you that lovely matte pout.

And boy does it deliver.

It is powder alright, so it’s non-sticky, it’s not messy. When applied to the lips, using its sponge-like wand, it almost feels like I didn’t put anything. It is that lightweight. It does have a velvety feel when I press my lips together, which can validate that it is non-drying.

For how it looks, I am using the Sakura Blossom in this photo, so it’s pretty light-colored and I look like I’m not wearing any lipstick at all. I just look like I have very healthy pink lips. Which you have to admit is pretty awesome!

As for longevity, I am not very convinced that it can last very long. Granted, I do tend to lick my lips often or press them together. So longevity is very relative, but it really just lasts as long as any other regular lipsticks can on my lips.

The line comes in 8 different “blossom” hues — all of its names based from names of flowers. I’d like to show you swatches of the colors but I can only provide one from the official website.

Packaging is a pretty gradient tube with the twist “lid” containing the pressed powder, and the wand has a sponge-like tip, which isn’t abrasive or complicated to use.

This month the price on this dropped from 500 to only 350 pesos, and should be available in any store that carries L’Oreal cosmetic products. The huge price drop kind of explains why Landmark and SM are running out of stock.

Go grab one of your preferred shade, and let me know what you think of it?
