You thought I would forget my third installment of recommended blushes, didn’t you? 😀 Now that I’ve had dinner and a nap after what seemed like forever at work, I will do my best to get this review up before midnight strikes. 🙂
Lancome Blush Subtil in Shimmer Mandarin Sky
This Lancome blush has been with me for quite a while now. Before I had it, it has been in my wish list for a while too. My Aunt/Godmother gifted this to me when I sent her my beauty wish list. (Yay! Thank you, Tita!)
Shimmer Mandarin Sky is salmon peach with a gold sheen though it looks more like orange-y bronze in photos.
I was a little disappointed at first because I thought this was more of a pink. I guess what they say is true on relying on a certain beauty blogger’s photos of makeup–The colors all look different than what they should be. Anyway, I eventually fell in love with this shade as it could be used from subtle, natural flushed to glowing cheeks. I prefer the latter, so I could skip highlighters. The blush isn’t scary shimmery; just a really nice gold sheen.
The formula of the Shimmer Mandarin Sky is silky-soft and goes on smoothly when applied. Longevity is almost a whole day. There are times when it oxidizes on me after about 8 hours of wear then I would look like I have bronzer on. ^^; Still to my advantage, right?
Save for the expensive price, I can’t think of any cons with this blush.
I highly recommend checking the Blush Subtil range. They have nudes, orange, pinks, reds, and even bronze. This is worth saving up for or add this to your wish list too and maybe someone could gift you one too. 😉
And the time before I publish this is… 11:15PM. Less than an hour before midnight!
