Late New Year’s greetings to you lovelies! 😀 Bringing you my first ‘Best of Beauty’ in 2015. I thought hard enough of what products I really liked last year. There’s hair and skin care faves besides makeup, surprisingly. I also found great beauty discoveries last year.
I’ll start with the hair product since I only have one. 🙂
Dove Damage Therapy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
The search for a shampoo that doesn’t cause major hair fall on me has been too long. This Dove Damage Therapy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is what I’ve been looking for — Gentle on my hair and scalp, barely any hair fall, and definitely prevents dandruff. My Mom had this same huge bottle in Bangladesh, which she had me use when I visited. I asked her to get me a bottle to bring home. 🙂
Now I need something to add volume to my hair.
Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Hand Creme
I’m very in love with the almond coconut milk scent (and hand creams, generally) that I had to have this, so I can smell it any time of the day. Does this hand cream work? It does, but it can’t keep my hands moisturized and dry-free for long when I’m in the office because of dry air. This is still my top choice for a hand cream though. This tube PhP649 in Laura Mercier stores and Rustan’s.

Laura Mercier Baked Blush Bronze in Ritual
I already have bronzers, but nothing like this by Laura Mercier.
Ritual is a baked powder of warm brown and shades of pink with a bit of shimmer. These are uniquely made that each baked powder have different marble designs.
The blush bronze is easy to blend and apply with or without foundation. I use this with a light hand, so I can have it light or dark, whichever I want at the moment. The brown shade is true to color and not orange when applied. I use the brown as a contour just a tad below the cheek bones and jawline. I mix the brown and pink for whole face contouring or if I feel like skipping the blush. If I want just a blush, I use more of the pink shades. The bronze finish is very natural. As a blush, there’s a slight sheen. When it comes to longevity, it lasts almost all day long even with my oily skin.
Sometimes I get acidic, so any bronzer or blush on me would oxidize. This did on my first use. My boyfriend told me I looked like I got darker. He almost asked where I’ve been when I cut him off and told him it’s just the bronzer. XD;
I heard this was a re-released limited edition. I’m glad I was able to get one. 😀 I bought it for PhP1550 at Rustan’s. I know it’s pricey, but definitely worth it for being multi-purpose, the longevity, and it doesn’t make you orange. I don’t think I would even reach the pan before this gets funky. If you see this, go purchase! Bronzer n00bs will become instant converts with this.

Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color in Vermillion Red
Another product from Laura Mercier that I ♥! This deserves a review on its own, so…
I’ve heard great things of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, so I had to try it. I have two shades and used the Cherry so far. People may think this is overrated, but it truly works for my often dry lips. I was surprised how opaque this is for a lip treatment. Longevity is at three hours, which is great. My lips still feel moisturized and hydrated with a hint of stain even when the lip balm is gone or has rubbed off.
I purchased mine from the Singapore Changi Airport at around SGD30.
Maybelline 24HR Color Tatto in Creamy Beige and Bad to the Bronze
Creamy Beige works great as a base or primer. 😀 Read my review here.
