Here’s another affordable — from Daiso — makeup review. This is an okay choice if you don’t want to spend too much for a brow product or for ‘beauty emergencies’ like you ran out and can’t afford yet your HG. 😆
A beauty blogger gave this eyebrow pencil a good review, so I quickly purchased when I found it. Though I was hesitant with the shade, I still got it because this was difficult to come by at the time.
The crayon is not hard nor soft; thin to create feathery, natural-looking brows. Now, if only the finish isn’t light against the natural color of my brows. The pencil may look dark brown, but it’s not as you can see from the swatch below.
Instead of feathery strokes, I sort of sloppily fill in and brush to sweep the color to shade the brows. I go heavy-handed on the inner/thicker part then go lighter up to the tail. I like how it naturally fills in the sparse areas.Although that technique adds more time to my makeup routine. Still, I kept reaching for this eyebrow pencil for a month or so because uncapping is faster than opening a brow powder set. 😆 Kidding aside, I prefer shading my brows as such especially for an office makeup. I dislike heavily defined and shaped brows. (Too much effort and, to be honest, I don’t know how to do that.)
Well, since this very cheap, it’s still worth giving it a try. Great if the color suits you. 🙂 It stays on for hours and fades slightly after 15 hours, which isn’t bad.
Not all Daiso branches have this particular item. Glorietta branch doesn’t have it last time I checked. The Trinoma branch does and they even have a black shade. I got mine at Cosplay Mania 2016, which seems not really the venue to be buying makeup. 😆 I also did a Google Image search on this to see other reviews. Many others have the same pencil, but only in a variety of packaging.
