Can this CoverGirl foundation last in this blasted heat? + MOTD

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Medium Beige

I mentioned many, many times that my T-zone gets super oily and that the oiliness has gotten worse lately. It might be the weather, change of diet since I’m incorporating healthier choices, or skin care products though I use the same. As much as I liked the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup foundation, at some point, it started to just settle on my face and I would unknowingly get some on my fingers. I found out when I left a streak of foundation on a work document. I can’t even touch my face out of fear that I might transfer on other important stuff. Good thing I almost emptied the bottle, so I had a valid excuse to buy. I searched for foundations recommended for oily skin and saw CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in an online list of ‘best foundations for oily skin.’

Pros

  • Comes in a glass bottle with pump that is very convenient since it pushes out a pea-size amount of foundation that is more than enough for my face
  • Provides medium coverage, but I always begin with a little. A lot would end with a white cast
  • Blending is easy with its creamy, yet thin consistency
  • Keeps my face shine-free for hours
  • Natural-looking finish
  • Brightens; makes my face look not dull at all even on days I lack sleep

Cons

  • The glass bottle isn’t good for traveling because it’s added weight
  • Has an odd smell, which could be because of the sunscreen, though the smell fades away quickly
  • Claims to have sunscreen, but it doesn’t seem like so because my face looked dull and darkened after I began using it
  • A bit pricier than other drugstore brands, but it’s okay since it delivers well

One of my first few makeup was from CoverGirl, so I have this inkling love for the brand. 🙂 I’m glad this foundation didn’t disappoint. I would still look fresh every single day I commute from home to the office (that’s a 5-minute –if lucky– jeepney ride and a 20-minute walk). This is definitely for those with very oily skin because dry skin types would look ‘drier’ with it.

The CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation costs PhP795. CoverGirl stalls is available in The Landmark and SM department stores (I bought mine from The Landmark Makati).

I haven’t done this in so long! 😀

Fresh after the bath

Fresh after a bath 😀

For this look, I used:

I used the Berry Fizz lipstick right before I left home then retouched with the Revlon Matte Balm and Estee Lauder lip gloss. I’ve been using the Revlon Matte Balm for a while and I find out its shade name only because of this post. ^^;;;

Sorry about the shadow ^^;

I like my brows as they are, but I do know I need to groom them. 😛 Next time I shall try some brow gels.

I bought new makeup recently and tested them by using them for this look. I do have a set of makeup I use daily for this month, which I’ll share next time. Anyway, I’m so loving the Berry Fizz lipstick right now. I think it’s the perfect summer lipstick for me. 😀
