It all started with the The Body Shop’s Dusty Rose Lip and Cheek Stain. There’s nothing like having natural-looking pink flushed cheeks to brighten my face and make me look more awake (especially during long hours at work!). Then when I was persuaded to stay for a night in Shangri-La Fort because it was already late when I got done with gym, I only had my mascara, powder, concealer, and Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain Honey to use. My face looked flat and pale, but the Balm Stain really gave my face the ‘life’ it needed. My liking for pinks have rekindled. 🙂
my birth monththis month started, I switched up my makeup with more pinks–Mostly lippies that are great for either day or evening looks. I haven’t thoroughly checked my collection, but these are my picks so far:
Those are Estee Lauder Pure Color Extravagant Pink Shimmer Gloss, Dior Lip Maximizer 004 (Lilac), and Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain Honey. And this is my usual FOTD recently that’s just an almost natural look:
Laura Mercier Morning Dew — All over lid up to brow bone
Laura Mercier Coffee Ground and Sable — Combined, outer-third and crease
L’Oreal False Lash Butterfly Waterproof Mascara — My lashes are barely noticeable in the photos, but they are irl. But I know I must apply more. Eep~
Laura Mercier Second Skin Heather Pink
The Balm Bahama Mama
Dior -In-One Brow 3D Palette
For juicy looking lips:
Revlon ColorBurst Balm Stain Honey
Dior Lip Maximizer 004 (Lilac) — I super ♥ this!
This is such a quick and easy look; it can be done in 10 minutes or less. I ♥ it and the boyfriend even noticed people staring or taking a second glance at me. Hihi~ I have yet to play around for an evening look, but this could be matched with one of my fave lipsticks–NARS Pure Matte Lipstick Carthage. Carthage is another pink shade; a bright fuchsia pink that really stands out. I would just add a dark eyeliner and the evening look would be complete!
I’ve been looking at other pink lip glosses since I started writing this post. So much pretty stuff! I’m considering on putting up a Pinterest board of my finds and wants. I would share that as soon as I have it up. For now, check out Glossier Pink. (Check the Chloe pink coat there!) Glossier btw is a fairly new brand that’s been the talk among beauty bloggers. I have no access to their products yet, but just look and it would make you want them! I ♥ mists, so this duo is something I would definitely buy.
Anyway, back to the discussion of pinks. 😀
I can only rely on makeup for pinks because I don’t have any of that color in my wardrobe, which is okay because it’s easier to change, let’s say pink lipsticks, whenever and wherever than clothing. LOL! Have you incorporated any pinks in your makeup? Please share what your favorite pinks are. I would definitely look into them and hopefully not end up with an empty wallet. 😛
